About Bombay Sweet Shop
A contemporary venture started in 2020 by Hunger Inc. (renowned for ‘The Bombay Canteen’ and ‘O Pedro’) Bombay Sweet Shop is a traditional Indian confectionary store.
Inspired by ethos of 'Re-creation,' the team explores the art of gifting sweets through a fresh perspective. Delving into India's rich culinary heritage, Bombay Sweet Shop crafts unique confections by adding a unique surprise into familiar flavors and presentations.

The Challenge
Keeping the rich, cultural and seasonal heritage of Indian sweets in mind, Bombay Sweet Shop wanted a modern, appealing online presence to attract a wide range of customers.
The brand wanted to partner with us to rebrand their ecommerce site from scratch.
Structural design:
- The objective: An immersive e-commerce website that would replicate the in-store shopping experience, but also struck the perfect balance between aesthetics and functionality.
Intuitive, user-friendly navigation:
- The team wanted consistent design and simplified mobile-friendly navigation that effectively communicated product information.
Delivery support:
- Bombay Sweet Shop knew the online store would need to be constantly updated since to most products had a short shelf-life. They also provided same-day delivery for select products in select pin-codes.
- The team wanted the website to easily adapt to seasonal, festival or event-based product launches (Diwali, or Cricket World Cup).
Help with continuous growth:
- The team wanted to create a seamless upselling experience mirroring in-store purchases. This would help them drive business growth for loyal and big-order customers.
